Who Is Nomadic

 

Nomadic Enterprises P/L has been designing, manufacturing and supplying kit form houses and accessories to remote communities since 1982. These constructions can be found in The Tanami Desert, Great Victoria Desert, Simpson Desert, Great Sandy Desert, Barkley Table Lands, Gulf Country, Kimberly, Nullarbor Plains, Arnhem Land, Islands of The Gulf of Carpentaria and The Timor Sea.

 

Over the years Nomadic has developed a good reputation with clients for delivering the product to this difficult environment. To our credit most of our structures are often said to be “the best out there”.

 

The components of each house are highly processed and set to a high standard, to allow the building to be constructed easily and efficiently.

This also allows there to be realistic local, unskilled employment

opportunities.

 

In the past we have designed house layouts in consultation with the local people. We believe this is an effective way to operate. We would embrace the opportunity to work through this process in the future.

 

Our product and system is adaptable to almost any house design. Therefore we can work with plans given to us by the client or we can design the house and layout to suit the needs of the community.

 

We are always researching new products and ways to improve our design features. We have the advantage of being close to our suppliers to ensure

that we get the interaction required to source appropriate products.

 

We manufacture as many of the buildings components as possible to ensure consistent quality and timelines. We have the necessary equipment and a large workshop to cater for this, including a Frametek roll former, guillotine, large bandsaw, plasmas, mig welders, tig welders, drill presses, window manufacturing equipment, forklift and much more. This allows us to have the latest technology available and greater flexibility to change components and designs as needed. In saying this, our end product is kept as simple and easy as possible to install.
